In a world first, five geographic magazines have come together to collaborate on a special global report on the most pressing issue of our time, climate change. Australian Geographic, African Geographic, Canadian Geographic and Geographical from the United Kingdom have all contributed reports from their region to this issue.

And it comes with a warning. Each of the associated geographical societies or trusts has made a joint statement on climate change, an issue clouded with media confusion and misinformation, scaremongering and denial. It’s an emphatic document that spells out in plain English and with scientific authority the facts as agreed by some of the world’s most revered geographic institutions. Read it on page 65.
