Welcome Swallow, NZ...
Next week marks the 60th anniversary of the historic climb of Mt Everest.
On 29 May 1953 Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay reached the top of Mt Everest.
Pictured: On one of the many acclimatisation climbs prior to the attempt on Everest, Hillary stands on the 20,000 ft ridge of Pumori looking across the Khumbo Glacier to Nuptse, just 2km from Mount Everest.
